Mediation

Joanne Beasley is a fully trained family law mediator. She is also a mediator with the Family Mediation Centre, London, Ontario.

The end result of a successful mediation is a document titled “Closed Memorandum of Understanding” which needs to be converted to a Separation Agreement or “Minutes of Settlement” if litigation has commenced. The settlement document is created by one party’s lawyer and reviewed by the other party’s lawyer and both parties sign to complete the process. The signed Separation Agreement is a contract enforceable in law. The signed Minutes of Settlement form the basis of a court order.
