COLLABORATIVE LAW

Collaborative law allows for the parties to commit to a negotiation process with lawyers, and, on occasion, other family professionals (such as child therapists, accountants) to achieve a settlement that best meets the specific needs of both parties and their children.  The parties and their lawyers commit to disclosure and to not commencing a court action while the negotiations proceed.  Parties retain new counsel if the collaborative process is not successful.
